Inspired by Thomas Ruff and Josef Schulz

They both attended the Dusseldorf Academy of Art, taught by Bernd Becher
Joself Schulz studied from 1993 - 1999, Thomas Ruff from 1977 - 1985
They both manipulate the photos they take, Schulz uses photoshop to take out parts of the photo, and Ruff used pixelation so the pixels were visable.
