The final photo would be of the face and neck or the back, but it would be difficult to demonstrate on myself, so i chose to show on the hand.

I drew out the basics of the bones in the hand. This represents the link between people in technology. I was going to do veins, but bones seemed more of an interesting choice.
I wrapped wires around the arm to show that people surround themselves with technology and have a dependancy on it.
For the final result, I cropped it so it was more focused on the arm, and pixelated it by reducing resolution and lowering the quality it was saved at. I also added noise, to make it look like an old crackling TV.
I like the final result and will apply it to the final idea. I would improve the final idea by adding more detail to the silver bones. I will also improve the compisition by putting if off centre and also using photshop adds another digital aspect to it. I have a clear idea of what the subject matter is for my final photos, but I will still have to experiment with body movements and stances.
Some great posts Luciana, I think you have included all the tasks asked of you during this assignment, all that is left is more primary and secondary material demonstrating the breadth of research you have undertaken. Are there some artist links you can include, when we chatted I was thinking about Giles Revell http://www.gilesrevell.com who may be relevant, but having looked at your work so far I am sure there are others out there you could draw more associations.
ReplyDeleteI think the concept is very good and raises an interesting question to whether this new technology liberates or constrains us? - The expression 'tied to your desk'; the daily toil of sitting behind a computer everyday, springs to mind. Stick with it and explore the different ways you could visually realise the concept, perhaps there isn't a need to paint the arm but focus more on cables/wires?
